H&C to market German coffee
H&C Coffee Co. Inc. of Roanoke has signed an importing agreement with the German producers of EuroMild Coffee for North American distribution.
H&C is using Roanoke as its test market for the purified coffee, which uses naturally carbonated water, steam, high temperature and pressure to remove chemicals from coffee beans before roasting. Medical researchers have found the coffee to be more easily digested by people with gastrointestinal problems, the company said.
H&C plans national distribution by mid-1995.
