NEW YEAR'S CLOSINGS

Town offices in Blacksburg, Christiansburg and the City of Radford will hold special hours over the New Year's holiday.

Blacksburg: The Municipal Building, Community Center and Blacksburg Transit offices will be closed Monday.

The Community Center Gym, Aquatics Facility and Blacksburg Transit bus service will be closed Sunday only.

The Blacksburg Transit will resume its break schedule Monday. The regular service schedule will resume Sunday, Jan. 15.

There is no change in the refuse and recycling schedule.

Christiansburg: The town offices and recreation and senior centers will be closed on Monday.

Garbage pickup for Monday will be on Tuesday with regular Tuesday pickup.

Residents are asked to have garbage at the edge of the street before 8 a.m.

Radford: The Public Works Department will not have solid waste collection on Monday.

Residents and businesses whose regular collection day is Monday should place garbage out for collection by 7 a.m. on Tuesday.

Collection schedule will run as usual Tuesday.
