TURKEY CALLERS TO COMPETE

Turkey talk will fill the Northside High School Auditorium Jan. 14, when the Roanoke Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation sponsors a calling contest and seminar.

The winner of the senior division of the contest will advance to the 1995 Grand National Wild Turkey Calling Contest. The first place award also includes a shotgun.

There will be a novice division for first-time entrants and a junior division for youngsters age 15 and younger.

Before the contest, Jim Clay and Tom Duvall of Perfection Turkey Calls will present a calling seminar.

The program begins at 1 p.m. There will be a $5 admission fee for adults; children under 15 get in free.
