ROANOKE VALLEY ECONOMIC INDICATORS

The number of homes sold in the Roanoke Valley was down 9.8 percent last year from 1993's sales pace. The Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors said 3,874 houses were placed under sales contracts during 1994, compared with 4,295 in 1993.

In December, 177 homes were placed under contract, down 18 percent from 216 in December 1993.
