FOCUSING ON COMMUNITY LEARNING

``Living the Dream: Action Agenda for Healing and Building the Beloved Community'' is the theme of Virginia Union University's 1995 Community Learning Week, set for today through Jan. 20 on the school's campus in Richmond.

Included in the event is the Third Annual Statewide Conference on Jan. 13. Participants from across Virginia will assess conditions, community needs and strategies for black Americans.

Jan. 16, the observance of the national Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, is also the 17th annual observance of CLW's nationally acclaimed model program for honoring King.

Four areas for discussion during the week are self help, corporate responsibility, organizational strengths and a focus on major thinking of King, reflected in his last book, "Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community?".
