WHAT DOES SHE KNOW?

If you're among those who can resist the temptation to reach for the tabloid newspapers at the supermarket check-out (or if you're a closet reader who only reads the covers on the sly), you may have missed psychic-astrologer Jeane Dixon's predictions for 1995.

A few highlights:

Save yourselves the agony of hearing the sure-to-be daily reports of ``the trial.'' Dixon can tell you that after a disappointing verdict, Simpson's (and we don't mean Bart) defense team will file for a retrial, he will spend most of the year behind bars, and attorney Robert Shapiro will refuse a chance to ``go Hollywood'' and portray himself in a movie.

And as the Presley/Jackson marriage unravels, she will seek comfort in her church; he will seek comfort in lawyers as another lawsuit surfaces.

Richard Nixon's death removed the cloak of secrecy from someone with more Watergate answers. A book will be published by the end of the year.

American campuses will relive the '60s in part - student protests will return, as will East Indian fashions.

Kitchen trash will turn into treasure as new uses are discovered for eggshells, coffee grounds and banana peels. Martha Stewart take note.

Congress' rejection of health care reform could open a breech between Bill and Hillary. She goes house-hunting away from Washington.

Japan will produce political clones of Ross Perot who will gain footholds in government. We're all ears.
