COX CABLE PUTS HTS INTO LINEUP

Cox Cable Roanoke will be moving Home Team Sports into its expanded basic service to subscribers and replacing HTS in a separate optional tier of channels with ESPN2, starting Feb.1.

Bill Sledd, Cox Cable Roanoke's marketing manager, said HTS, Home & Garden TV and the Faith & Values channel will follow the recent move of The Disney Channel into the expanded basic service.

Subscriber rates will rise $1.64 per month with the additions.

Home Team Sports, a regional sports network, will move to Cox's channel 44, with ESPN2 taking the old HTS' spot at channel 48. ESPN2 will be available to sucscribers for $1.95 monthly or as part of an optional six-channel package for $4.25.
