At the 11 a.m. worship, Joyce Simpkins, a Pulaski County educator, talks about her experiences on a cultural exchange to Russia, and Trinity's choirs - directed by Cindy Webb - present music with an international theme.
The second annual global mission congregational event is at 4 p.m. Mike Maxey, vice president of admissions services at Roanoke College, speaks on "Lutheran Presence in Korea." Maxey has been to Korea recently as part of the college's effort to "internationalize" its academic program and student population.
A supper featuring international cuisine gets under way at 5 p.m. in the fellowship hall. An international singalong follows.

Lutheran Campus Ministry, the Newman Community and Cooper House at Virginia Tech are among sponsors of a "World Game" workshop Jan. 28, 1-5 p.m., in the Commonwealth Ballroom, Squires Student Center, Virginia Tech. Game participants interact on a huge world map serving as a game board for events simulating global problems, resource distribution and politics. Teams try to solve their area's problems. PEOPLE
The Rev. RUDI GELSEY of New York joins The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the New River Valley, 1301 Gladewood Road, Blacksburg, on an interim basis Sunday to lead the congregation and help plan its growth. Gelsey plans to stay in Blacksburg through mid-April. Gelsey, a native of Austria, is retired. During the winter months, he and his wife travel south to serve congregations without a minister. Sunday, Gelsey eulogizes Martin Luther King, whom he knew.
