NHL'S GAIN FIGURES TO BE EXPRESS' LOSS

The East Coast Hockey League only now may begin to feel the damaging effects of the NHL's 103-day lockout.

The end of the lockout certainly was good news for the sport, but it was bad news for the ECHL and other minor leagues. ECHL teams such as the Roanoke Express are worried they will be picked like apple trees as the NHl and other pro leagues begin looking for players.
