ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY FALLS 78-53 TO R.E. LEE-STAUNTON

R. E. Lee-Staunton raced to a 17-4 lead in the first five minutes of play and never were threatened in their 78-53 non-district boys' high school basketball victory over Rockbridge County Saturday.

The Wildcats (0-11) kept things respectable in the first half by making seven 3-point goals, but R.E. Lee led 44-31 at halftime.

Brian Ross had four 3-pointers and 14 points to lead the Wildcats, and Jaymie Terrell added 13 points.

R.E. Lee (7-3) got 17 points from Mandrel Stuart and 14 from Carson Robinson.
