GRAYSON COUNTY SHERIFF TO RETIRE

Grayson County Sheriff Herbert McKnight has announced that he will retire from law enforcement at the end of this year.

McKnight, a Republican, joined the Sheriff's Office 30 years ago as a deputy and first was elected sheriff in 1975.

He has been re-elected sheriff four times.

His term expires at the end of 1995, and he said he would not seek re-election.
