BURGLARS COME UP EMPTY AT CHURCH

Town police are investigating a break-in at a Randolph Street church.

The burglary at the First Baptist Church happened sometime between 6 p.m. Sunday and 7:40 a.m. Monday, when it was reported, said Vanessa Hill, a Police Department spokesman. Entry was gained by prying open a basement door with a tire tool.

Nothing was missing from the chuurch. Police suspect the burglars were looking for money, which is not kept there, Hill said.
