BUCK MOUNTAIN RESTAURANT SOLD

Almerindo and Joann Mazzarella have purchased the Buck Mountain Grille on U.S. 220 south of Roanoke.

The Mazzarellas bought the restaurant from Doug and Evie Robinson, who wanted to concentrate on their Wildflour Cafe at Towers shopping center and perhaps expand the Wildflour into other locations.

Joann Mazzarella said they will keep Buck Mountain Grille's existing format - vegetarian and other items with "a Southwestern flair" - although they will add some of their own dishes to the menu.

The Mazzarellas previously operated the Fancy Hill restaurant near Natural Bridge, which has been sold to partners Bill Torrence and Mary Martin. Joann Mazzarella said they sold that enterprise because "we were ready to try something new."
