MAN DIES IN GILES CRASH

A 21-year-old Pembroke man was killed after his car hit a guardrail in Giles County early Saturday, state police said.

Duane Morris Dunbar Jr. drove off the road as he rounded a curve on Virginia 634 near Pearisburg about 3 a.m. Police said it appeared that Dunbar had tried to guide his car back to the road. He was partially ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Dunbar was not wearing a seat belt.
