Fink's Jewelers in Roanoke said Tuesday it will open a store Aug. 1 in Raleigh, N.C., marking the company's entrance into the Raleigh-Durham market.
The outlet in Crabtree Valley Mall will be the firm's 11th store. It will operate as a Garibaldi and Bruns, the name of a Charlotte, N.C., jewelry company bought by Fink's in 1969.
Fink's operates three Garibaldi and Bruns in Charlotte and seven Fink's in Roanoke, Lynchburg and Richmond.
Also Tuesday, Alvin B. Fink, chief executive officer, was released from the hospital, where he was being treated for injuries suffered in a Oct. 27 auto accident. He is expected to recover completely, according to his son, Mark, the company president.

Norfolk Southern Corp. increased its quarterly dividend Tuesday from 48 cents to 52 cents per share of common stock. The increase is the first since the company dividend went from 45 cents to 48 cents Sept. 10, 1993. The dividend is payable March 10 to stockholders of record on Feb. 3. NS is expected to release its 1994 earnings report today.
Roanoke Electric Steel Corp. has declared its 145th consecutive quarterly cash dividend, in the amount of 12 cents per share of common stock, payable Feb. 24 to shareholders of record on Feb. 10.
Electro-Mechanical Corp. of Bristol, a manufacturer of transformers, switch gears and power systems, said it will build an 80,000- to 100,000-square-foot expansion valued at $2.6 million on land donated by the city of Bristol. The move is expected to create 126 jobs.
