BLACKSBURG OUTSHOOTS BOTETOURT

Anthony Wheeler scored 15 points and Philip Klaus added 10 as Blacksburg defeated Lord Botetourt 59-52 in a high school boy's non-district basketball game on Wednesday night.

Blacksburg jumped out to a 37-26 halftime lead and never trailed. The Indians outrebounded the Cavaliers 31-16 and made 57 percent of their field-goal attempts, 69 percent in the second half.

Shannon Williams scored 20 to lead Lord Botetourt, and Ryan Salvi had 16.
