PULASKI COUNTY SHOWS BALANCE

Abingdon held Eric Webb, the Roanoke Valley District's leading scorer to seven points, but it was not enough as Pulaski County blew away Abingdon 75-47 on Thursday night in non-district boys' action.

Tyrone Hash and Jon Lilly each scored 16 points to lead the Cougars (10-2). Hash also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds and Brian Ratcliff added 12 points and five steals for Pulaski County.

Joe Waters led Abingdon with a game-high 18 points, and Wes Basham tossed in 11.

Bath County 82

Craig County 51

HOT SPRINGS - The Chargers (8-4) used their quickness to build a big early lead and ran away from the Rockets (3-9) in a non-district matchup.

David Buzzard, who went 10-for-10 from the free-throw line, and Stewart Alexander scored 14 points each to lead Bath County. BIlly Thomas had 13 and Matt Williams added 11.

Eric Gillingham scored 11 points to lead Craig County.

Felicia Manns scored 10 of her game-high 22 points in the first quarter as the Colonels built an early lead and rolled past the Patriots in a Roanoke Valley District game at Patrick Henry.

Kiann Trent added 14 for the Colonels and Ruvonda Barber had 12, including two 3-pointers.

No Patriots player scored in double figures.

Virginia Episcopal 53

North Cross 28

Micah Lewis scored 18 of her game-high 25 points in the first quarter to lead Virginia Episcopal past the Raiders in a non-conference game at North Cross.

Annie Mossborg and Katie Whelchel added 10 each for Virginia Episcopal.

The Raiders (1-11) were led by Kathryn Anthony, who scored a team-high 11 points. Emily Cook chipped in 10.
