REED AND MILLIRONS PUT ON 2-MAN SHOW IN 74-44 AUBURN WIN

RINER - Jon Reed and Terry Millirons combined to outscore Shawsville as Auburn coasted to a 74-44 victory on Friday night in a Three Rivers District boys' game.

Reed had 26 points and Millirons added 20 points and 14 rebounds as the Eagles (10-4 overall, 2-1 district) never was threatened after the first quarter.

The Shawnees (1-13, 1-2) got 13 points from Jeremy Nichols.

Narrows 43

BLAND - Shannon Havens led a balanced attack with 25 points as the Rockets won a Mountain Empire District game.

David Lambert had 17 points and Andy Selfe added 13 for Bland (6-6, 1-2), which led by 11 points at halftime and poured it on in the fourth quarter.

Narrows (7-6, 1-2) got 18 points from Patrick Bailey.

NEW CASTLE - David Buzzard scored 17 points and Kris Phillips added 16 as the Chargers rolled past the Rockets in a Pioneer District matchup.

Bath County (9-4, 4-2) shot 49 percent from the field and held Craig County to 32 percent as it defeated the Rockets for the second time in two days. Craig County (3-10, 1-6) cut its deficit to six twice in the final period, but could get no closer.

Matt Williams and Stewart Alexander each scored 12 for the Chargers.

Craig County's Robby Huffman led all scorers with 23 points and Jamie Fisher had 12.

Fort Chiswell 78

Galax 51

FORT CHISWELL - Jody Burnett scored 19 points and Kevin Beasley added 10 as the Pioneers dropped the Maroon Tide in the Mountain Empire District.

Tito Crockett led Galax (6-6, 0-3) with 17 points.

Brad Hughes fueled the Fort Chiswell (8-6, 3-1) offense with 12 assists.

Carrie McConnell scored 22 points to power the Cougars to a Roanoke Valley District victory over the Colonels in Roanoke.

Pulaski County (14-2, 7-1) led 18-6 after one quarter and coasted.

Felicia Manns had 14 points for Fleming (8-5, 2-5).
