NAMES ON CAMPUS

THEODORE R. ALBERTS, associate professor of welding technology, has been elected president of the Southwest Virginia section of the American Welding Society. He is also an inaugural member of the International Society of Welding Educators.

KAREN CECIL, adjunct geology instructor, chaired the committee that developed the New River geology exhibit in the Pulaski County Courthouse. The exhibit, produced in cooperation with the Department of Geology at Radford University, depicts the geology of Pulaski County and the geological history of the New River.

FRAN MITCHELL, employee development director, began a term as president-elect of the New River Valley chapter of the American Society for Training and Development on Jan. 1.

THOMAS WILKINSON, director of distance education and learning resources, represented Southwest Virginia at the state-level Advisory Committee to the Public Telecommunications Board in Richmond.
