GIRL, 16, REPORTS RAPE

A 16-year-old girl told police she was raped in a Roanoke apartment overnight Monday.

The girl told police that she, a girlfriend and three male acquaintances went to an apartment complex near Interstate 581 to smoke marijuana. When her girlfriend left the room, she said, one man held her down while the other two raped her. The victim gave police the first names of her assailants.

After the attack, the victim and her girlfriend were dropped off shortly before 3 a.m. Tuesday at a Salem shopping center, where they called police, according to a Police Department news release.

Police have made no arrests.
