PULASKI POUNDS BLACKSBURG

Eric Webb scored 21 points, grabbed nine rebounds and had seven steals as Pulaski County pounded Blacksburg 62-42 on Wednesday in a non-district boys' contest.

Webb was 6-for-9 from the field as the Cougars made 53.3 percent of their field-goal attempts. Tyrone Hash had 14 points for Pulaski County.

Anthony Wheeler led the Indians with 11 points.

SHAWSVILLE - Ben Kiser scored 13 points to lead Floyd County past Shawsville in a Three Rivers District game.

The Buffaloes (9-3, 2-1) took a 39-19 halftime lead after forcing 18 Shawsville turnovers in the first half and grabbing seven offensive rebounds in the first quarter. Kiser scored seven of his 13 in the first quarter and Jason Dalton added 10.

BLAND - The Rockets made 10-of-15 free-throw attempts down the stretch to fend off the Bobcats in a non-district game.

Shannon Havens scored 18 points for Bland (7-7), and David Lambert added 13.

Matt Linkous scored 24 points for Radford (5-8).

Franklin County 59

ROCKY MOUNT - Cave Spring used a huge second half run to bolt past Franklin County in a Roanoke Valley District game.

The Knights led 56-53 in the second half before going on a 27-6 run to put the game away. Cave Spring's inside tandem of Jaclyn Banks and Cheryl Rhodes combined to scored 41 points, including 12 in the fourth quarter.

Rhodes finished with a game-high 21 points and Banks added 20 to pace the Knights.
