Walsh scored nine goals and set up six during the 1994 season as the Cavaliers won their fourth consecutive NCAA championship. He started all 26 games for Virginia.
Among those joining Walsh on the All-Freshman team were Leo Cullen of Maryland, Carey Talley of North Carolina and Wade Barrett of William and Mary.
