Hancock, a 6-foot-1 junior forward, led Franklin County (9-5) with 16 points.
With four seconds remaining, the Pioneers held a 62-61 lead, and Franklin County had the ball. After a timeout, the Eagles inbounded the ball to Hancock, who made the game winner.
``I was just hoping it would go in,'' said Calvin Preston, Franklin County's coach. ``He doesn't shoot a lot of 3s. He's basically one of our inside players. I'd be lying if I said I thought it was going in.
``We called a timeout and ran our inbounds offense. It was pretty much whoever got the ball had to take it to the hole. I give all the credit to the kids, because they never gave up.''
Franklin County had trailed by seven points with about four minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
Chad Foutz added 12 points for the Eagles, and Jason Conklin scored 11.

The Buffaloes raced to a 27-4 first-quarter lead and whipped the Celtics in a non-district game.
Jamie Warren had 17 points to lead the Buffaloes, and every player on the Floyd County roster scored.
Brendan McCarthy led Roanoke Catholic with 17 points. The Celtics played without leading scorer Tony Joyce, who missed the game with a thigh bruise.

APPOMATTOX - Staunton River shook off a junk defense and drilled 11 3-point field goals in a Seminole District victory over the Raiders.
Appomattox played Hunter Hoggatt, Cornelius Foxx and Jeff English man-to-man while the two other defenders were in a zone, but Hoggatt finished with 24 points including three 3-pointers, Foxx had a pair of 3-pointers and 14 points and English three more 3-pointers and 10 points.
Hoggatt went 9-for-9 from the line, 6-for-6 in the fourth quarter as the Golden Eagles improved to 10-5 overall and in the league. Appomattox (6-10, 6-10) was led by Brian Goodrich with 15 points.
