LIBERTY WIN STREAK REACHES 15 GAMES WITH 82-54 VICTORY

Liberty scored 31 points in the first quarter and cruised to its 15th consecutive victory, an 82-54 decision over Jefferson Forest in a Seminole District boys' game Friday night.

Twelve players scored for the Minutemen (15-1 overall, 15-1 district), led by Gregg Reynolds with 16 points. J.J. Coles added 11 for Liberty, Kris Ridgeway had 10 and Stephen Shrader scored 10.

The Minutemen led 51-33 at the half and increased their advantage to 30 points in the third quarter.

Zack Stinson led Jefferson Forest (4-12, 4-12) with 14 points.

Ryan Franklin was the high scorer for Rustburg (2-14, 2-14), hitting for 17 points.

James River (7-8, 4-4) outrebounded Craig County 34-12, grabbing 19 offensive rebounds. Shahan Burrell had 13 points and 10 rebounds, Jason Peery had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Craig County (5-13, 1-7) tried to stay close with 3-point shooting. The Rockets made nine 3-pointers, including four by Jamie Fisher, who finished with 20 points.
