ELDERHOSTEL PROGRAM LOOKS AT HISTORY OF TRANSPORTATION

The Smith Mountain Lake 4-H Educational Center will hold an Elderhostel program March 12-17, ``Making It Move: Our Heritage in Transportation.''

Participants will discover how transportation shaped culture throughout time, find out what it was like to travel 25, 50, 100, even 1,000 years ago, experience Virginia's transportation history by visiting the Virginia Museum of Transportation and talk with industry officials.

The $330 tuition includes all meals, lodging, classes, related field trips and extracurricular activities. Commuters are welcome to participate if space allows.

The program is open to individuals 60 and older and their spouses or companions who are at least 50.
