TASTING & TOASTING SET FOR MARCH 19

Sample some of the valley's most sumptuous foods and wines on March 19 at the Planned Parenthood of the Blue Ridge Inc.'s 13th annual Tasting & Toasting fund-raiser. At least 17 of the area's finest restaurants and caterers and six award-winning Virginia wineries will take part in the event from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in The Moody Center, Hollins College.

A wine market will be open for attendees who wish to buy bottled wines for their private stocks. And a silent auction will offer bidding on get-away weekends, dinners, catered private parties and other lovely luxuries.

Tasting & Toasting tickets cost $30 per person, and reservations are needed by March 10. Sponsorships, which include program recognition, begin at $100 for two tickets and must be reserved by Feb. 24. Some tax deductions apply. For information, call 362-3968.
