MARTINSVILLE LATE MODELS GET AIR TIME

NASCAR's richest races for Late Model Stocks will be seen by more than those attending the events at Martinsville Speedway.

First Auto Sports Television of Denver has signed a contract with Clay Campbell, the track's president, to provide tape-delayed coverage of the Miller Genuine Draft 300 and the Taco Bell 300 on Prime Network's ``Thursday Night Thunder'' series.

Prime, which can be seen locally on Home Team Sports, reaches 40 million households.

The Miller Genuine Draft, held March 19, will be shown April 20, and the Taco Bell 300, held Oct.15, will be aired on Nov.9. Both races will pay $25,000 to the winner, the biggest paycheck for Late Model Stock races.

``We are really excited about this,'' Campbell said. ``And we feel it is a big breakthrough in showing the country what kind of a great show the Late Model Stocks can put on.''

Adult tickets to the races are $15, and the first 1,000 fans ordering in advance will receive a limited-edition Martinsville Speedway T-shirt. To order, call 703-956-3151.
