REWARD SET FOR INFORMATION ON HIT-AND-RUN ACCIDENT

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information about a January hit-and-run accident in Blacksburg.

Neil P. Dias, 23, suffered a shattered pelvis and a scalp laceration when he was hit by a car in front of 911 Toms Creek Road at 8:50 p.m. on Jan. 29, a Saturday.

He remains hospitalized, police said.

Dias was struck by a vehicle that left the scene after striking him, and police have little information about the vehicle.

Dias' family is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons involved in the hit-and-run.

Anyone with information may contact the Blacksburg Police Department at 961-1150.
