The national award is given to individuals or groups that have shown outstanding volunteerism in human services, education, the environment or public safety.
Winners will receive an engraved silver medallion and a certificate signed by the president. They will also attend a White House ceremony.
Nominations will be judged on achievements, community needs, innovation, mobilization, and ongoing effort.
