For the second time in a little more than two months, Board told someone he was going to bowl a 300 game and delivered. The 24-year-old from Vinton achieved the feat Friday night in the Star City men's league at All Star Lanes in Roanoke.
Board, who has been bowling in leagues since 1988, rolled his first 300 game on Dec.7 in a Wednesday night league at All Star.
``I predicted the last one, and I predicted this one, too,'' Board said. ``I told a guy here, David Hope, on Wednesday night that I would roll one on Friday, and, sure enough, I did. Afterward, he came up and shook my hand and said, `You said you were going to do it and you did it.'''
The scenario may have been the same, but ``the feeling was a little bit different'' this time, Board said. ``I wasn't nervous last time and I wasn't nervous this time, either, but I did get a little jittery on the 11th ball. But it slammed the pocket and knocked them all away.
``All I can say is it feels great. It feels great. It's another jump out of the airplane.''
Asked if he had another 300 in him, Board wouldn't make any predictions, but said, ``I hope so.''
