PULASKI COUNTY RALLY UPENDS HUNTINGTON

Pulaski County rallied from a one-point halftime deficit and pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat Huntington, W.Va., 69-57 in high school boys' basketball Saturday.

Tyrone Hash had 25 points, Eric Webb 18 and Bryan Ratcliff 16 for the Cougars (15-3), who defeated the Pony Express for the second time this season.

Pulaski County went 26-for-33 from the free-throw line, 20-for-22 in the second half at the old Huntington Civic Center. Ratcliff and Hash,who scored seven each in the fourth quarter, were a combined 16-for-18 from the stripe.

Huntington, beaten 68-58 by the Cougars on Jan. 14., was led by Ty Holmes with 14 points, 12 of those coming on 3-pointers, and 13 by 6-foot-7 Brook Niceler.
