PATRICK CRASH KILLS 3 MEN

Three Patrick Springs men died Sunday after a single-vehicle accident on Virginia 8 in Patrick County, according to state police reports.

Terry Lane Rose, 22, the driver of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at 11:48 a.m. Sunday at Patrick County Memorial Hospital. Barry Jackson Cassady, 23, and Timothy James Pfeifer, 21, were pronounced dead at the scene. None of the men was wearing a seat belt.

Sometime after midnight, the 1994 Toyota pickup ran off the right side of the road one-tenth of a mile north of Virginia 836 just outside of Stuart. The truck rolled down an embankment, striking several trees on the way down.
