In a preview of their meeting in next week's Roanoke Valley District tournament, the Eagles beat the host Patriots in a close game for the second time this season.
Franklin County (11-8, 3-4), which won 54-53 in Rocky Mount earlier, broke open a tight game early in the fourth quarter on a pair of three-point plays by K.C. Hancock, who led all scorers with 27 points.
Patrick Henry (6-13, 0-8) shot 60 percent from the field but was victimized by 20 turnovers. Chris Combs and Brooks Berry had 20 and 16 points, respectively, for the Patriots.

NARROWS - Scott Vaught scored a team-high 21 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Narrows avenged an earlier 32-point beating at Bland by pounding the visiting Rockets in a Mountain Empire District game.
Vaught scored 16 of his points in the second half and Norman Perkins had all 10 of his points in the second half to go along with 10 rebounds.
The Green Wave (11-7, 5-3) led by only two at halftime and actually trailed by six late in the first half before Patrick Bailey came up with three consecutive steals and the Green Wave converted all three into points. Bailey finished with 20 points, including 11 in the second half, as Narrows outscored Bland 42-29 in the second half to take command of the game.
