The Green Wave led 59-55 with 18 seconds remaining, before Jody Burnett hit a 3-pointer to cut the Pioneers' deficit to one. Narrows inbounded the ball, but turned it over. The Green Wave then fouled Jonas with five seconds left.
Burnett scored 27 points to lead Fort Chiswell. J.J. King added 12 points and Jonas had 11.
Patrick Bailey led Narrows with 18 points, Norman Perkins had 14 and Bryan Pruett 13.

SALTVILLE - John Ervin and Andre Cook each scored 13 points to lead the Maroons to a Hogoheegee District victory over the Panthers.
The Maroons (15-5 overall, 11-3 district) took a 21-8 first-quarter lead over the Panthers (4-16, 4-11). Northwood cut its deficit to four points with 36 seconds remaining, but the Maroons put away the game by hitting free throws.
Randy Reeves led Northwood with 19 points.

ROCKY GAP - Eric Faulkner scored 10 of his 18 points, including six consecutive free throws, in the fourth quarter as the Eagles edged the Blue Devils in a Mountain Empire District matchup to give coach Charlie Puckett his 200th victory.
Rocky Gap (12-6, 6-3) trailed 48-47 at the end of three quarters. The Eagles took the lead behind Faulkner's play and eight points from Tracy Bradshaw in the final period.
Faulkner went 12-for-12 from the free-throw line as Rocky Gap hit 24 of 27. Nathan Blessing scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Eagles. Will Dodson scored 14 and Bradshaw 12.
Bryan Boyer had 23 points and 13 rebounds for Grayson County (14-4, 7-2).
Tuesday's games
Covington Boys' Home 61, Rainelle Christian 55: In Rainelle, W.Va., Troy Coleman scored a game-high 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Indians past the hosts in a non-district game.
Covington Boys' Home (6-14), which had only five players in uniform, got at least 10 points from four of them. Freddie Portillo had 12 and Donald Downing added 11 for the Indians, which also got 10 from Nebiyu Noad.
Rainelle (8-6) was led by Jimmy Walker, who scored 15 points.
Carlisle 91, Roanoke Valley Christian 62: In Martinsvillle, the Eagles wilted under the Chiefs' intense defensive pressure in the fourth quarter, allowing Carlisle to run away with the Virginia Independent Conference victory.
Carlisle (18-2, 15-1) outscored the visitors 37-13 in the final quarter to break open what had been a five-point game.
Bryant Redd paced Carlisle with 21 points, while Ronticus Hairston and Rod Mitchell had 16 each. Joel Nester led RVC (10-11, 5-8) with 21 points.
