BLACKSBURG YOGURT SHOP IS ROBBED

Blacksburg police called out the dog Wednesday night to search for the armed robber of a downtown Blacksburg frozen-yogurt shop. It was the third robbery in Blacksburg in three weeks.

The TCBY Yogurt shop in the 600 block of North Main Street was robbed about 9 p.m., said Lt. B.E. Bradbery of the Blacksburg police. No one was injured.

Bradbery said a dog from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office was brought in to track the robber, but no arrests had been made Wednesday night. No other details were available.

Earlier this week, there was a robbery at the Revco Drug Store at Blacksburg Square on South Main Street. And on Jan. 23, the Domino's Pizza on North Main Street, just a few blocks away from TCBY, was robbed.

Police did not think the first two crimes were related, and Bradbery said it was unclear whether this robbery is connected to the others.
