WHAT ARE YOUR TRADITIONS?

The Easter parade may be a thing of the past, but every religious season has its own traditions that are passed on from year to year and generation to generation.

This year, we'd like for you to share your special traditions and memories of our spring religious rites. Do you give up something for Lent? Does the family always get together at the same place for Passover? Is it food that makes the holidays, or maybe the family reunion, or is it the religious significance of the time?

We'll be compiling a special story about your experiences for our special religion section entitled Season of Reverence to be published April 6 in Neighbors. But we need to get your memories flowing now. We need your replies by March 3, mailed to Season of Reverence, Neighbors, P. O. Box 2491, Roanoke 24010.

We'd like you to share the traditions that make the season special. Remember this season includes Mardi Gras, Ash Wednesday, Lent, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter, Passover, Ramadan, and perhaps other commemorations.
