CYBERSCIENCE: Get on the cutting edge of science and technology. Drive through a "virtual reality"; learn how forensics helps law enforcement agents find the truth, experience hands-on demonstrations, exhibits and presentations by representatives from regional colleges and industries. The eighth annual science spectacular will be held Saturday from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. at the Science Museum of Western Virginia in downtown Roanoke. HERSTORY: Showtimers presents ``The Diary of Anne Frank,'' based on the real-life journal of a young girl that's been read by millions all over the world. The diary recounts the days the Jewish teen-ager and her family spent in hiding in Nazi-occupied Holland. The Roanoke County community theater production, under the direction of Linda LaPrade, runs through Feb. 26 with performances Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Call 774-2660 for tickets.

WOMAN OF WORDS: Ms. magazine editor Marcia Ann Gillespie has been a trailblazer in the publishing world and an advocate of social reform for more than 20 years. She helped transform the fledgling Essence magazine to one of the fastest-growing women's periodicals in the United States. She also worked as executive editor of Ms. She'll lecture on "Racism and Sexism in America" on Monday at 7 p.m. in Mary Baldwin College's Francis Auditorium, Staunton. There is no admission charge. AMAZING GRACE: Point Of Grace has had a truly phenomenal year, including winning New Artist of the Year honors at the Gospel Music Associations' 1994 Dove Awards and being named Favorite New Artist at the America's Christian Music Awards show. The quartet, whose self-titled debut recording generated six consecutive number-one Christian radio hits, will perform tonight at 7:30 at Liberty University, Lynchburg. AMAZINGLY GRACEFUL: The Ballet Theatre De Bordeaux, one of France's great ballet companies with a history dating back to 1752, will on Feb. 24 perform a series of dances based on ``The Blue Danube,'' ``Pizzicato Polka'' and other popular masterpieces by Johann Strauss. BEFORE THE TOUR: The 92-voice classical chorus, Jefferson Choral Society, is joined by an 11-piece brass ensemble in a selection of pieces by American composers that will form the basis of the society's concert tour of Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria this July. Carl Harris will direct the performance of ``Music for a Mid-Winter's Day, European Concert Tour'' on Sunday at 3 p.m. at Heritage United Methodist Church, Leesville Rd., Lynchburg. CALLS OF THE WILD TURKEY, fishing lures, black powder to archery supplies and camping gear to boating equipment will be among the booty for sale at the annual Daniel Boone's Pioneer Classic. The hunters' heaven, populated by vendors, will also feature displays of Jeeps, trucks and bass boats. Avid hunters are invited to register today between 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. for the "Big Buck Competition," with antlers judged in four classes of competitions in archery, blackpowder and gun categories.
