The sale of land and buildings, and funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency accounted for most of the money, Town Manager John Lemley told Town Council on Tuesday.
The largest portion of the money, $225,000, will be spent on the construction of a parking lot downtown, where three delapidated buildings once stood next to the town's administrative offices. The buildings were razed last fall.
Most of the $138,300 FEMA sent will be spent on street paving. A public works complex will get $100,000.
The new money pushes the town's total budget to just more than $10 million.
