PRICE, JONES PACE PH

Some outstanding individual performances helped the Patrick Henry boys' track team to second place at the Northwest Regional Indoor Track Meet held on the campus of VMI on Friday.

Jamie Price won two events, capturing the 55-meter dash in 6.4 seconds and winning the 300 dash in 35.91 seconds. Price also was a member of the 3200 relay team that came in first with a time of 1 minute, 34.66 seconds - nearly two seconds better than Heritage. The Patriots racked up 65 points, which was well behind first-place Woodbridge (94).

Price also had some help from teammate Larry Jones, who won the 55 hurdles in 7.48 seconds and also was on the 3200 relay team that came in first place.

William Fleming came in seventh place, paced by John St. Clair's second-place finish in the shot put. Franklin County, which came in 11th place, was led by David Angell, who won the 1,600 run in 4:37.5.
