CATRON, William Taft, 85, of Wytheville, died Saturday, February 25, 1995 in the Wythe County Community Hospital. He was born in Wythe County, the son of the late William Z. Catron and Flossie Cline Catron. He was a member of the Berea Christian Church, where he served as Deacon, Cemetery Treasurer and Trustee. In 1981, he was honored by the church as Deacon Emeritus. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lawren ce Early Catron, Robert Pierce Catron, and one sister, Gladys Catron Marsh. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Hallie Grinnell Catron, of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Flo Catron and Mack B. Vaught, Wytheville; one son and daughter-in-law, William Daniel and Dottie Smith Catron, Roanoke; five grandchildren, Kathryn Catron Harris, Jackie Catron Ridgeway, William Daniel Catron Jr., all of Roanoke, Edward Boyd Vaught, Sandra Vaught Ferguson, both of Wytheville; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Venolia Catron Marsh, Wytheville, Hallie Mae Catron Miller, Crockett. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jiles and Denny Collins, Marion; one grandson, Steve Collins, Marion; one granddaughter, Jill Brickey, Marion; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Ellis, Marion, Frances Ellis, Richmond; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. DUNCAN, Alfred Johnny, 78, of Christiansburg, died Saturday morning, February 25, 1995 at the Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Shawsville, Va. Born November 11, 1916, he was the son of the late Enoch J. Duncan and Leona Alley Duncan. He was a retired Steel Smelter for Burkley Machine Works. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Wurzburger Duncan; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Gwenda Dobbins Duncan, Richmond; two brothers, Edgar Duncan, Riner, and Marlie Duncan, Upperco, Md.; two sisters, Esther Griffith, Christiansburg, Margie Delaney, Alum Ridge. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 27, 1995, at 3 p.m. from the DeVilbiss Funeral Chapel, with Kenneth Wurzburger officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery in Radford. GREINER, Gary P., 56, of Roanoke Co., died Sunday, February 26, 1995, after a lingering illness. He was the president of ETS Inc., and the founder and a board member of ETS International. Mr. Greiner was an electrical engineering graduate of Syracuse University and a lifelong supporter of Syracuse's sports programs. He was an active member of Saint Andrews Parish and a former member of the Roanoke Catholic School Board. Mr. Greiner was the author of numerous technical publications and textbooks in the air pollution control field and was holder of patents. Surviving are his wife, Roberta Greiner; a son a nd daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Paul and Mary Kathryn Greiner, Baltimore, Md.; mother and father, Ester and Paul Greiner; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Roseanne Greiner, all of Syracuse, N.Y.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Saint Andrews Catholic Church, with Father Randy Rule officiating. She was preceded in death by her husband, Shannon Hall, her father, Emmett Alderman, and a sister Lorene Alderman. HUDGINS, Horace Daniel, (``Buck""), 85, of Vallejo, California, died Monday, February 20, 1995. He was born in Montgomery County, Va. and had been a resident of Vallejo, Calif. for 46 years. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Doss ``Jenny"" Hudgins; two sons, Danny of San Ramon and George of Vallejo; three sisters, Georgia Hudgins, Katherine Palmer and Niece Flinchum; three brothers, Ben, Jim and Nick, all of Virginia; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. NOLLNER, Lt. Col. Ralph E. Jr., USA Ret., 72, of Lexington, died at his residence, Sunday, February 26, 1995. He was born October 16, 1922 in Nashville, Tenn., a son of the late Ralph E. Nollner Sr. and Tressie (McClure) Nollner. Also preceding him in death was one sister, Tressie N. Hillyer. Col. Nollner was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a graduate of the University of Georgia and the University of Florida. Also, he was a member of CHI PHI National Fraternity. Col. Nollner retired with 23 years service. Later, he taught JROTC at high schools in North Carolina and Frank furt, Germany. Surviving are his wife, Anne (Evans) Nollner, Lexington; three sons, Ralph E. Nollner III, Olympia, Wash., Thomas E. Nollner, Louisville, Ky., William M. Nollner, Lilburn, Ga.; one daughter, Elizabeth N. Shannon, Johnson City, Tenn.; one sister-in-law and husband, Carolyn E. and Joseph E. Martin, Lexington; seven grandchildren. PERDUE, Brady Lee, 97, of Roanoke, passed away Saturday, February 25, 1995 at the Community Hospital. He was born May 23, 1897 and was preceded in death by his wife, Susie Ferguson Perdue. He was a charter member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and a retired employee of the American Bridge Co. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Gorgie P. and Henry C. He was a veteran of WW II, a member of the Mechanicsburg VFW Post #7969, Bland Masonic Lodge #206 and was retired from the Radford Army Ammunition Plant. Becker, Martinsville; six grandchildren, Jesse Naples, Olivia Naples, Lauren-Taylor Naples, Amie Becker, Nathaniel Becker, and Bernard Becker.
