NOW'S TIME TO SIGN UP FOR WARM-WEATHER SPORTS

A lot of things are getting ready to occur. That's what happens when spring gets close. More and more warm-weather activities are having signups.

Of course, there are still some winter-time activities gearing down, like basketball.

So without further ado, here's what is going to happening and what has been happening in the New River Valley.

SHAWN BROWN, the league's leading scorer, had a game-high 17 points.

Hash, Tenpenny and Brown shared the league's Most Valuable Player honors for the season.

The Lakers and Magic split the titles in the Pulaski Boys 12-and-under League.

The Lakers (10-2) won the regular season title by one game over the Magic.

The Lakers clinched the regular season crown with a 40-32 win over the Magic as Wohlford scored 17 and MIKE TILLEY 11.

But the Magic (11-3) used a magical comeback to get revenge in the tournament final, overcoming a 15-point deficit with three minutes remaining to beat the Lakers 43-40 in overtime.

RYAN JONES scored four of the Magic's six points in overtime. TRAVIS ROOP and ADAM ROOP keyed the second-half rally, combining for 23 points. Travis Roop finished with 20, and Adam Roop 12.

CHRIS QUESENBERRY and KELLEN WOHLFORD led the Lakers with 14 points each.

Tilley and ISRAEL LONG of the Sonics were selected the league co-MVPs.
