FOR THE RECORD

Because of a reporter's error, a quote in a story Tuesday about the Blue Ridge Hunt Club was attributed to the wrong person. It was Joseph Painter Jr., Paul David Peterson's attorney, who said, "Several individuals were concerned what would happen if there was an insurrection or something like this. It was mainly bravado."

Because of a reporter's error, the name of the business owned by Hal and Joanne Stern, the new owners of Duke the dog, was misspelled in a story Tuesday. It is Five-Boro Bagels in Southwest Roanoke County.

Because of incorrect information given to the newspaper, a story Tuesday on Salem's acquisition of the former Roanoke County School Administration building incorrectly described the building's original use. According to Whitney Markley, the building housed Comas Cigarette Machine Co., which made the machines that made cigarettes and processed tobacco. Markley's father was president of the company, Markely said.
