POLICE SEEK SUSPECT IN STEAK'N EGG ROBBERY

Police are still searching for the man who robbed the Steak'N Egg Kitchen restaurant in Roanoke at gunpoint early Wednesday.

Mike St.Clair, an employee with the all-night diner, said there were no customers in the restaurant about 3 a.m. when a man walked in and demanded money from him.

"I told him, 'I ain't giving you nothing,' and then he pulled out a handgun," St. Clair said.

St. Clair gave the man $106 from the cash register.

He said the man called the Williamson Road restaurant twice about one hour later, threatening to harm St. Clair and anyone else who works the all-night shift.

St. Clair, who has worked at Steak'N Egg for only three months, said he wasn't too worried about the threats.

"He was probably blowing out air," he said. "I did buy some pepper spray, though."
