ROANOKE MEN BEGIN ACTION IN TOURNAMENT

The Roanoke men's basketball team opens the NCAA Division III tournament tonight at 7:30 against Maryville in Maryville, Tenn.

The Maroons (19-8) are the No.6 seed in the South Region. Maryville (19-6) is the No.3 seed.

If Roanoke wins, the Maroons would play the winner of tonight's game between No.7 Hendrix (Ark.) and No.3 Millsaps (Miss.) on Saturday.

Roanoke would host the game if Hendrix wins, but would be on the road if Millsaps prevails.

Also tonight in the South Region, No.1 Hampden-Sydney (25-2) plays host to No.8 Christopher Newport. And No.5 Oglethorpe (Ga.) is at No.4 Greensboro.
