MICHELE R. ALLEN of Roanoke has joined Earle Palmer Brown Public Relations as an associate.

Allen, daughter of Robert M. and Barbara S. Allen of Roanoke, handles account services for Sentara Health System, a Norfolk-based company that provides health care in Greater Hampton Roads, and some Roanoke businesses in addition to directing public relations for other companies.

ROBIN KONIECZNY, a Roanoke native and vice president of Price/McNabb, won $10,000 for the city's best radio ad in the Charlotte, N.C., Addy Competition. She also won best in show.

Konieczny is a graduate of Patrick Henry High School and the College of William and Mary. She received a master's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and is the daughter of Durward and Elinor Stanley of Roanoke.
