ORGANIC MATTER HELPS PREPARE SOIL

Most gardeners are getting ready to plant the spring garden, which might include peas, brocoli, cabbage, leaf lettuce and spinach.

Just as soon as the soil is workable, prepare it by adding shredded organic matter so you'll be ready to plant later; remember that the fertilizer is added just before planting.
