ANGLER TAKES A BUMPY RIDE ON B.A.S.S. TRAIL

Vernon Wilkes remembers being tossed from his seat when the bass boat he was riding struck a log, but he doesn't recall hitting the water.

"I remember I am wet," Wilkes said, recalling the incident. "I could see a shadow. I felt up and it was the boat. The first thing I thought of was [being ripped apart by] the prop."
