Former Franklin County High School standouts Chad France and Riley Hodges paced the Panthers (4-1), who lost 5-4 in the opener, then beat York 3-1. France was 4-for-5 with a home run and two RBI. Hodges went 3-for-5 with a triple and two RBI.
Jason Williams (1-0) picked up the victory for Ferrum, while Kevin Anderson (0-1) took the loss.
The Panthers play a doubleheader with Aquinas (Mich.) today in the round robin tournament.

The Ferrum golf team is in fourth place after one round of the Greensboro College Exchange held at the par-72 Bryan Park course in Greensboro, N.C. The Panthers team score of 301 is just four strokes behind the leader, Western Carolina.
The Panthers' R.J. Weaver fired a 72 to remain at even par and is currently three strokes behind Jamie Whitley of Western Carolina, who opened with a 69. Ed Alvarez and Aaron Johnson shot 76s and Anthony Brooks shot a 77 for Ferrum.
Radford is in eighth place in the team competition at 306.
The Virginia Tech women's lacrosse team made history by dismantling Hollins 21-2 in its first game at varsity status in Blacksburg.
Alice Matos led the Hokies with nine goals and two assists. Amy Mantooth added four goals and two assists as the Hokies rolled to a 15-2 first-half lead. Goalkeeper Christina Francis had five saves as Hollins managed just seven shots.
Sara Gooch and Libby Stein scored for Hollins and goalkeeper Erin McKinney had 16 saves.
