Rowe Furniture Corp., Arlington-based manufacturer with operations in Salem, said Monday it expects shipments, the furniture industry's equivalent of revenues, to equal $28.6 million in its first quarter ended Feb. 26, a 6 percent increase from year-earlier $27 million. Earnings per share of common stock are expected to be about 30 cents, compared with 12 cents a year earlier. Included would be a 22 cent-per-share gain for sale of investment property and adjusted for a 3-for-2 stock split paid Dec. 6.

LADD corrects dividends pay date

LADD Furniture Inc., High Point, N.C. parent of American of Martinsville, on Monday corrected the payment and record dates for its 3-cent per share common stock cash dividend which it declared Thursday. The company said the correct payment date is March 31, to shareholders of March 16.
