3 `FRIENDS' TIE UP, ROB 2 WOMEN

Jetaun Gravely thought she was doing three acquaintances a favor by letting them use her phone, but the favor was returned in a frightening way.

According to Roanoke police, the men, who are friends of Gravely's boyfriend, grabbed Gravely on entering her home on Alview Avenue Northwest on Tuesday, took her jewelry, and tied her up with duct tape. Gravely's friend Rose Jackson, who also was in the house, was kicked in the face, tied with duct tape and locked in a bedroom closet.

Jackson told police the men had a chrome pistol and brandished it, passing it among themselves.

Gravely was able to escape by telling the men her child would soon be home from school and she had to meet the school bus outside her home. The tape was removed, and one of the men escorted Gravely to the school bus with the gun in her back.

Once the bus pulled up in front of the house, she jumped on and told the driver to drive away because the man behind her had a gun.

After the driver drove away, the men fled. Jackson was released from the closet by police.

Jackson declined to comment Wednesday.

No arrests had been made.
